OPENING A BANK ACCOUNT
Available Banks: DANAMON, OCBC, Maybank
A foreigner holding a KITAS visa can open an account in any bank in Indonesia.
A foreigner holding other types of visas can currently open an account only at DANAMON, OCBC and Maybank, accompanied by a guarantor.
The process of obtaining a card with Butler:
- After deciding on the type of card, you coordinate a convenient date and time for the bank visit with our operator.
- You send us your personal documents: a photo of the passport page and a completed form with your contact information and address.
- On the scheduled day, you visit the bank with our sponsor. You don't need to worry about queues — just arrive at the agreed time, sign the documents, and receive your card. The bank staff will help you set up the app and guide you through the basic user functionalities.
DANAMON BANK
- Mastercard Debit Card valid for 3 years.
- Monthly service fee: IDR 20,000.
- Multi-currency support with 12 currencies, including IDR, USD, EUR, SGD, CNY, NZD, GBP, CAD, SAR, AUD, HKD, JPY. ATM currency will follow the country you're in.
- App interface: available in English and Indonesian.
- Works worldwide — important to notify the bank in advance upon receiving the card.
- Limits: Online payments (Indonesian and international websites): IDR 25,000,000; POS terminal payments (in Indonesia and abroad): IDR 10,000,000; ATM cash withdrawals: IDR 10,000,000. Bank transfers: up to IDR 1,000,000,000/day (up to IDR 250,000,000 per transaction)
- Available to holders of all visa types, including Visa on Arrival (VOA).
- ⚠️ IMPORTANT: Not available for citizens of Russia and Ukraine. Available for citizens of Belarus and other countries.

OCBC Bank
- Mastercard Debit Card.
- Service fee is 22,000 IDR per month.
- By default, it is non-personalized, but a personalized card can be ordered at a bank branch (7-10 working days wait).
- Works reliably worldwide without additional bank notification.
- Multi-currency support for 12 currencies, including IDR, USD, EUR, AUD, GBP, SGD, JPY, HKD, CNH, CHF, NZD, CAD. The ATM currency will follow the country. For example, if you are in Australia, the ATM will connect to AUD.
- Deposit required when opening the account: 50,000,000 IDR, of which 25,000,000 IDR can be withdrawn immediately, and a minimum deposit of 25,000,000 IDR must be maintained for 3 months.
- Daily online payment limits (Indonesian and foreign websites): 50,000,000 IDR. POS terminal payment limits in Indonesia and abroad: 50,000,000 IDR. Daily ATM withdrawal limit: 15,000,000 IDR. Daily transfer limits to other banks: 100,000,000 IDR.
- Available for holders of any type of visa.

- Default Option: Non-personalized; personalized cards can be ordered at the bank branch (processing time: 7–10 business days).
- Global Usage: Works worldwide, subject to prior personal notification to the bank.
- Additional Account in USD: Available with a $250 deposit for opening a USD account.
- Initial Deposit: 10,000,000 IDR, of which 9,000,000 IDR can be withdrawn immediately.
Daily Limits:
- Online Payments (Indonesian and foreign websites): 30,000,000 IDR.
- POS Payments (in Indonesia and abroad): 10,000,000 IDR.
- ATM Cash Withdrawals: 10,000,000 IDR.
- Interbank Transfers: 200,000,000 IDR.
- Eligibility: For holders of D12 visas and KITAS visas only.
