Second Home Visa

The Second Home Visa allows foreigners to temporarily reside in Indonesia. This visa is suitable for those who wish to spend an extended period in the country without the intention of engaging in employment. It is initially granted for a period of five years, with the possibility of extending it for another five years, allowing a stay in Indonesia for up to ten years.

MAIN REQUIREMENTS

To obtain the Second Home Visa, you must meet financial requirements: you need to have at least USD 130 000 in your account in one of Indonesia's state banks, or you must own property worth at least USD 1 000 000 with usage rights (Hak Pakai).

During the validity period of the visa, you are allowed to manage the funds in your account. However, immigration services may request proof of the required amount at any time. If you are unable to confirm the required funds, your visa, as well as the visas of your family members, may be canceled.

Please remember that the property purchased for the visa must have usage rights known as Hak Pakai.

A document confirming a lease or any other format indicating your right to rent property will not be acceptable for these purposes. To obtain the visa, you need a document confirming ownership or usage rights (Hak Pakai) of the property.

The following documents are required to obtain the visa:

  1. A passport with at least 36 months of remaining validity.
  2. A bank statement in English with a minimum balance of $130,000, along with a signed statement of readiness to provide proof of funds in an account at one of Indonesia's state banks (e.g., BNI or Mandiri) with a minimum balance of 2,000,000,000 IDR, or proof of ownership of property with Hak Pakai rights worth at least $1,000,000.
  3. A photograph with a white background.
  4. Personal data upon request.

Arrival in Indonesia

Upon arrival at the airport, you need to go through the specialized ITAS section for passport control. Here, you will be photographed and issued the "Second Home" ITAS. Airport immigration officers will stamp your passport, indicating the requirement to provide proof of financial means or property within the next 90 days.

Within this 90-day period, you must provide the immigration service with proof that you meet the conditions for obtaining the "Second Home" ITAS, including:
  1. A bank statement from one of Indonesia's state banks (BNI, Mandiri), showing a balance of at least $130,000 or its equivalent in another currency.
  2. Proof of property ownership through a Hak Pakai agreement, with a value of at least $1,000,000.
If you are unable to provide proof of financial means/property within 90 days, the immigration service will cancel the ITAS.

Visa Cost and Processing Time

The cost of obtaining the visa is 40,000,000 IDR. This amount covers the complete visa processing for 5 years, and no additional fee is required for each entry.

After payment and submission of all necessary documents, the visa processing will take between 7 to 10 business days.

To include family members in your visa, an additional fee of 30,000,000 IDR per person is required.
