SKTT (Surat Keterangan Tempat Tinggal) — Certificate of Residence in the Republic of Indonesia
This document is issued by the Population and Civil Registration Office (Dinas Kependudukan dan Pencatatan Sipil) to foreigners at the address specified in the Temporary Stay Permit (KITAS).
Benefits of SKTT:
Ability to register vehicles in your name and renew vehicle registration (STNK)
Ability to extend KITAS
Some banks require SKTT to open a bank account
SKTT officially confirms your temporary residence at the specified address
The requirement for SKTT is regulated by Article 20 of Law No. 23 of 2006 "On Population Administration.":
Foreigners with KITAS or other permits, as well as those who have changed their KITAS status and plan to reside in Indonesia, must report this information to the Population and Civil Registration Office within 14 days of receiving KITAS.
Based on Section 1, the Population and Civil Registration Office registers and issues SKTT.
SKTT is issued for the duration of the KITAS.*
SKTT must be carried with you while traveling.

Residential address
Processing Time: Approximately 10 working days
To apply for SKTT yourself, you need to visit: Polsek Resor (police station), Kantor Desa (district administration), Pencatatan Sipil (civil registry office)
